Students learn how chatbots work and put that knowledge into practice by creating a custom chatbot tool for a subject they’re studying. Along the way, they learn helpful the prompting and process techniques that get the most out of GenAI tools.

Just because you can, doesn't always mean you should.

Students explore the ethical questions that come with GenAI use and build the judgement to make good decisions when there isn't a rule for every situation.

Students unpack real dilemmas they and the world face: what counts as honest use, how to acknowledge GenAI, and why issues like bias, accuracy, and privacy matter. Through real-world scenarios and open discussion, students weigh up where GenAI use is fair and appropriate, and why their data privacy is important.

Students gain with the confidence to use GenAI honestly and responsibly, and to explain and stand behind the choices they make.
